New Activity: Vending Machine




It's snacktime! Let's go to the vending machine. Oh... so many choices. Use eye gaze, click the mouse, touch the screen or press an external switch (space bar) to pick a delicious snack.


A simple cause and effect activity that gives you a lot to talk about. With simple clear graphics, this inclusive activity has been designed to provide a great opportunity for discussion and the development of everyday vocabulary associated with using a vending machine.

The Benefits of Eye Gaze in the Classroom.

With eye gaze technology on a desktop computer, laptop or tablet, your students can use their eyes to explore, play games, learn, participate in classroom activities, communicate and more.



We can start to observe what our students see, attend to and track on screen, what they notice and don't notice, what they prefer to look at and what sense they make of what they see.

These are fundamental skills that most of us have not had the tools to assess or look at in detail before now. Such understanding of our most complex students could lead to changes in our teaching practices and open up wider opportunities for our students to interact and engage.

"Bailey is 7 years old and has a complex medical history including epilepsy surgery and an unspecified visual impairment. He is a little boy who can become very frustrated. His parents feel this is because he can't get his message across. When choosing objects and activities (with low tech), we struggle to be sure of where he is looking due to his eye movements. We were able to calibrate Bailey using the 1 point calibration on myGaze. Using the analysis tools (from Attention and Looking) has been invaluable in giving us the information we need to support this young man's learning. It has also shown us that he is able to follow and understand simple instruction when accessing certain activities on the computer. Bailey loves the music activities, Robot Factory and Splat."

From our initial observations in school we feel she has a great deal of potential and certainly understands much more than she is able to express. NEW Activity: World Cup Soccer.



Can the striker score a goal in the World Cup in this simple timing activity? Click the mouse, touch the screen or press an external switch (space bar) when the striker is in front of the goal. Score five goals to get a reward.


This accessible and inclusive game has been designed to encourage and develop hand-eye coordination and timing skills. Auditory prompts, a clear background and bright objects make this an ideal game for children with visual and perceptual difficulties. This activity also has varying levels of difficulty. Choose the easy level and the player will wait for you to kick!

Insight - Assess and Develop your Students' Visual Learning Skills.





Insight helps engage, assess and develop students' visual learning skills through eight specifically designed Learning Goals. Focusing on key milestones in early learning, they follow a developmental progression that can be used flexibly as an assessment tool, or sequentially for progressive learning.




Perhaps the most important Learning Goal. Vision, over all other senses, accounts for most of our learning. To get any meaning from vision we first have to attend to it.



Looks closely at how aware students are of different images appearing in their visual field and how they direct their gaze to them. Introduces easy interaction and fun game play.




Develops fixating skills, helping students to gain more meaning from what they look at and to use their eyes to interact with intent, express preferences, participate and play.



Provides plenty of content to help develop important skills used in almost all daily activities; including gross motor and play activities plus reading, writing and drawing.




Presents engaging stimuli with a repetitive pause pattern to encourage students to anticipate and respond for more. Can be used to inform early cognitive assessment.



Helps to develop students' skills so they can start making meaningful choices from multiple options, opening up opportunities to communicate.



Students can learn to shift their gaze, fixate on more than one image and use back and forth looking behaviours. It involves investigating and developing students' purposeful actions.



Aims to investigate and develop the student's ability to use early planning, prediction and problem solving skills.
